Common Questions

Need to transfer your license to a new DotNetNuke installation?

Where do I download my Module?

How do I do .... with this module?

Check out our training section. If you have questions on how to use a module take some time to watch the videos.  Then if you still have questions try the forum.

I think you should add this feature!

Use the feature section of the Forum to post up feature ideas.  We try to keep our modules simple & easy.  However, we are always open to great ideas!

What are the licensing options?

Please read licensing options explained, but we generally sell three types of licenses for our modules: Single Portal, Unlimited Portals, Enterprise.

Can I get the source code?

We do not offer the source code for many of our modules, if you don’t see the source code for sale in the Store then it is not officiall available.  If you are a US based company and don't mind shelling out some bucks and signing some paperwork then we will hear your case.  We are cautious of this because some individuals have purchased source code from other vendors and have re-packaged it to sell it as their own.  Shame on them.

I am evaluating the store module as a replacement for Catalook.   One requirement that I have is to collect data on the person making a purchase:  Name, email, phone number, job title, etc.

When I add a textbox variant/attribute to the product and mark it as required,  I can still add to cart with the fields empty.

    What am I missing?

Thanks for your interest in the Store.

I just tested this functionality out and it seemed to work fine. I added several required and not required textbox variants and got an error message when I tried to add it to my cart.

Do you have any Javascript errors or have Javascript turned off?

To further test, I installed DNN 05.06.07 on my localhost and installed the store.  The required variants performed as expected.  This is a windows 7 machine.

I also installed BOTH  DNN.05.06.06 and DNN 06.01.03 in localhost on a XP machine.  I installed the store and added an identical product with required variants on both machines.   The DNN05.06.06 performed as expected - it would not let me add to cart with blank fields.   The DNN 06.01.03 failed - it did allow me to add to cart with blank variant fields.

As detailed in the prior post, there was a page error on the product details page on the DNN 06.01.03 site.

Since I have now tested the module in two DNN versions and on two machines (a total of 4 sites) and it failed on both machines for DNN 6 and worked on both machines for DNN 5, I must conclude that the module has a problem with DNN 6.

Unless you guys can help me resolve this, I must decide to either delay moving to DNN 6 or find another store.

And I REALLY like this store.

As info, I also tried the Tabs module on all four sites.  It also failed to work properly on the DNN 6 sites.  It was also getting a js error on the page with the tabs.

    Jim-

We're dedicating to resolving any issues you're having with the Store.

Try going into the Store Admin module and unchecking "Load jQuery UI" and then save the settings. I was able to replicate the issue you're having, but it was resolved by not loading jQuery UI. DNN 6.x ships with jQuery UI, so it's no longer needed. However, it is needed if you're on DNN 5.x.

Let me know if this solves the issue!

Sorry,  I unchecked the settings on both machines and I can still add to cart with required variants empty.

I do appreciate your dedication to resolving.   I really want to replae Catalook.  This store is much more user friendly

    Jim-

Try completely blanking out the file http://localhost/DNNSPOT/DesktopMod...tom.min.js

Since DNN loads this by default, it shouldn't be needed. I believe this is where things are going wrong.

Sorry - I deleted the contents of the file and restarted IIS.   Problem persists.

    Jim-

This isn't on a publicly visible site, is it? I'd like to take a look at it and see if there's a different issue that I'm unaware of.
